Siyar was a trading town in the foothills of the Throal Mountains, on the western bank of the Serpent River. Its population (~5,000) was primarily comprised of humans and dwarves, though members of many races dwelled there, or at least visited on a regular basis. A prosperous t’skrang village, Damritsar, was located in the river nearby, and trade between the two settlements was frequent. Initially, the Siyari (as the residents of Siyar called themselves) did not believe Theran stories of the coming Scourge, but soon enough, it became clear that the threat of the Horrors was all too real. As a result, the town began building itself a kaer.
